2G to 3G Upgradation Procedure : The upgradation procedure for various categories of subscribers are described below:
1) Gravity Subscribers: List of Gravity Subscribers: Gravity Subscribers will be upgraded to 3G service within October 24, 2012 and you will be notified accordingly. Please check whether you are an eligible Gravity subscriber here . Promotional Offer: Gravity Subscribers will be awarded 50 Minutes video call and 1 GB data free of charge in addition to free upgradation.
2) Normal Prepaid Subscribers:
a) Subscribers who need to send SMS to upgrade their MSISDN to 3G: Subscribers listed here will be able to activate their 3G services just by sending SMS. If they want to upgrade their number to 3G they need to type 3G and send SMS to 666. Taka 500 will be deducted from the account as up-gradation charge. Upon upgradation each subscriber will be awarded 50 Minutes video call and 1GB data service free of charge. Subscribers can check whether they are listed in this category here .
b) Subscribers who might encounter problem if SIM not replaced: During 3G upgradation few subscribers may face some problem with their existing SIM. They are requested to replace their SIM at the earliest. Upon replacement they will be awarded with a balance of Taka 200 and 3G services. All subscribers listed here have been assigned temporarily with the mobile numbers listed against their original numbers. This temporary number will continue till 1st December 2012. To be mentioned that all terminated calls destined towards subscribers' original number will be automatically diverted to the assigned number. All such subscribers will get back their original number on collection of a replacement SIM and on sending SMS to 999 typing 20 digit number printed on the back of the new SIM.
